[XeTeX] Installing XeTeX on Kubuntu Edgy with texlive packages

Now,

sudo dpkg -i xetex_0.995-1_i386.deb

Does this have to do with the change of default shell from bash to dash in 
Kubuntu Edgy?

If anyone has built a package for XeTeX for K/Ubuntu Edgy with TeXLive packages 
rather than teTeX, I will appreciate knowing what else needs to be done, as 
there may be many scripts afected by the default shell change.
