Won't typeset here either:

- The first two lines

	%&program=xelatex
	%&encoding=UTF-8 Unicode

should be replaced by

	%!TEX TS-program = xelatex
	%!TEX encoding = UTF-8 Unicode

(the former is a deprecated TeXShop syntax). Most (or maybe all, I
haven't looked) of the examples shipped with XeTeX are still using
the old syntax, unfortunately.

- Typesetting begins with a complaint the euler package should be
launched before fontspec (v1.9 here, the one shipped with XeTeX is 1.8).

- Then there are error messages such as

	! Loaded font "Palatino Bold/B", expected "Palatino Bold"!.
	\checkfont ...font "\testa ", expected "\testb "!}
	                                                  \fi \fi
	l.142 \showfont{"Palatino/B"}{Palatino Bold}

and finally a complaint about a missing Brioso font.

Thus XeTeX-notes.tex shouldn't be used to test a valid XeTeX
installation.
