I did try it too this week, but soon uninstalled it, for several  
reasons:

- I couldn't see which additional bonus FontExplorer offers over Font  
Book, other than a different interface.

- FontExplorer seems exactly the kind of app from which I tend to  
stay as far away as possible: an app that modifies the system  
behaviour, by offering to displace some fonts from /System/Library/ 
Fonts and /Library/Fonts to another location, by intercepting system  
calls, etc.; an app that creates a folder at the root level of the  
home directory, alongside ~/Documents, ~/Library, etc., instead of  
putting it inside ~/Library/Application Support as should be.
