[XeTeX] maths delimiter design

Hi,

A while ago there was a short discussion about the merits of piece- 
wise built delimiters over simply scaling a single glyph. For a good  
example of this, Johannes Küster's presentation slides from a  
conference in 2004 show the differences between them on page 19:

Incidentally, he is working on a set of maths fonts to blend with  
Adobe Minion, which, when complete, will cover many, if not all of,  
the unicode maths glyphs:

This project could be of great interest when XeTeX is extended to  
handle unicode \mathchars.
