Howdy,
Hmmm... I guess the point of the exercise is to get the height and
depth of the boxes so the baseline can be determined and passed to
another application via LinkBack. I'm not sure I've thought this out
enough. I know that putting that small extra border around the
equation in LaTeXit has stopped the problem with glyph cutoff for me
with LaTeX although that is a bit heavy handed.
