Thanks for the tip. The paper is available online 
<http://www.tug.org/TUGboat/Articles/tb21-2/tb67tole.pdf>, and, had I 
known about it, I would have spent less time experimenting with Hoefler 
Text, since all the different features that Hoefler can offer were 
already described there.
