[XeTeX] Work around for Italic correction; +kern doesn't work(?)

Thank you very much for your response. You're right, I haven't been fair
to XeTeX, as I used different types of kerning in InDesign: the ligature
ff in italic followed by the parenthesis regular, the former with
`metrics' kerning and the latter with `optical' kerning. Metrics kerning
is default in InDesign and most good Open Type fonts should give the
best results with metrics kerning.

But, even with the two different types of kerning, the parenthesis still
slightly `touches' the ff ligature, so, also InDesign needs manual
kerning to get things perfect.
