[UK-TUG] STEM Publisher interested in TeX training

Dear Member,

UK-TUG members have been approached by a major STEM publisher to provide
TeX training for their employees.  The Committee is discussing this.  It
is unlikely that UK-TUG as an organisation will provide this training
but the Committee intends to do all it can to bring customers and
suppliers together, and to provide support and guidance for the
provision of TeX training in the UK. The Committee is currently liaising
with the publisher to define their exact requirements.

At the same time, the Committee continues to support and encourage
general TeX training. Supporting newer TeX users remains vital to the
continued health of the TeX community both in the UK and more widely.
