    "lib" seems to be standard for Unix.  Or maybe libexec.

Although I realize usage differs widely, there are many systems for
which lib and libexec are for real binaries (stemming from the GNU
standards, and adopted by FHS among others).

The files under discussion are explicitly not real
architecture-dependent binaries; that's why I suggested dataexec or just
exec ...
