visa to attend the TUG 2003: the Silver
Anniversary -- 25 years! -- of TeX.

The 24th Annual Meeting and Conference of the TeX Users Group on
July 20-24, 2003 please send your request to: tug2003-pr at tug.org

Patricia Mononohon will be sending letters to _all_ non-resident
international speakers this week.

All workshops and tutorials will be free during and after the
conference.  In particular, Hans Hagen will be giving a one-day
hands-on workshop (tentatively 9am - 3:30 pm) on Everything you wanted
to know about ConTeXt.  Further information will be posted at

We are pleased to announce that Apple Computer has agreed to make a
number of iBooks with Airport Wireless Cards available for use
throughout the conference.  In particular, we hope to have hands-on
informal sessions of how to install teTeX and TeXshop on Mac OS X and
Q&A sessions on running some of the TeX Family of programs.  e.g.,
TeX, LaTeX, pdfTeX, pdfLaTeX, ConTeXt, TeX4ht, Omega, Lambda,
TeXpower, LaTeX2html etc...

If you are a Unix Expert or Font Guru or TeX Program Developer and
would be willing to help with configuring the "TeX system" and/or do a
demo or Q&A session on any particular aspect of installation or use of
