Hi Rai

use \limits for get the result so you code should be

\frac{\sum\limits_{i=1}^{n}x_i}{x_n}

this should work fine

Subject: [Tuglist] limits of summation

 Following expression produces correct results with limit of
summation below and on the sigma sign.

\sum_{i=1}^{n}x_i

but, following expression places limits like subscript and
superscript ( rather worst than that )

\frac{\sum_{i=1}^{n}x_i}{x_n}

What is the way to resolve this problem.
