`circ' package by Sebastian Tannert and Andreas Tille can be used to 
typeset circuit and optics diagrams. This package provides a 
convenient way to draw diagrams containing not only resistors, 
capacitors, transistors, etc., but also lenses, mirrors and the 
like. Symbols are coded in Metafont, so the output can be printed or 
viewed on any device.

`circuit_macros' package written by Dwight Aplevitch can also be 
useful. But this needs m4 macro processor which is normally found 
only in Unix or GNU/Linux systems.

All the above are available at CTAN or any of its mirrors. `circ' 
package is available in TeXLive CDROM too.
