[Tuglist] CTAN mirror

I am to announce the sad demise of the CTAN mirror in India running
at

  ftp://ramanujan.aero.iisc.ernet.in

which had completed six months and ten days before it was down. Our
CTAN maintainer, Mohit Agarwal <mohit@tugindia.org.in> has moved to
Trivandrum and since then nobody at IISc seemed to be interested in
maintaining it, nor even providing the bandwidth for its existence.

The mirror served well during its existence and was being used
beyond all our expectations thereby proving the necessity of its
existence in India. If anyone among the subscribers is endowed with
sufficient bandwidth and serverspace, Mohit can help to setup a
mirror. Any takers?
