txfonts which is available at CTAN is a great alternative to
MathTime and has a full set of of math, text fonts in all shapes and
weights. It is fully documented, easy to install and is distributed
under GPL. I would urge everyone to use txfonts as the best
alternative if you prefer to use fonts other than CMR.
