Downloaded B2, and tried it on both 10.6.8 and 10.11.5.

On 10.6.8: worked as expected; I had the Distrib pref pane and TLU fight with one another - no conflicts and no problems.  I did notice that the two show the available distribs in opposite order, which took a few looks to figure out.  Age, I expect.

On 10.11.5: worked as expected, and the distrib pref pane and TLU again were opposite order for display.  I couldn't get the two to fight over the selection because one TLU selected 2015, the pref pane agreed, and would not select 2016.  That could be a known issue.  I think I got this system (it came with 10.11) before the 2016 preview was released, which is where I got the pref pane; and I assume this is related to the 10.11 pref pane issues of song and fable.

I'm willing to settle for something crafty... I guess I'll have to get back to my implementation of BTP (Beer Transport Protocol) now.  It's been a while...
