It's actually quite easy to install the tlmgr GUI, by installing Perl/Tk:

- Download the Perl/Tk source code from <http://search.cpan.org/~srezic/Tk/pod/UserGuide.pod>.

- Compile and install, after cd'ing to the source code directory, with:

	perl Makefile.PL
	make
	make test
	sudo make install

The install script has been amended, it no longer puts stuff inside /usr/bin. The current version installs

	/Library/Perl/5.12/darwin-thread-multi-2level/Tie/Watch.pm
	/Library/Perl/5.12/darwin-thread-multi-2level/Tk/*
