[tldistro] query for a complete tex for linux

Sirs

I wish to install the latest version of complete tex.(LaTex) for Linux

Do I need to download 

a) the texlive2012.iso which is 2.2 GB 

Or

b) texlive-20120701-bin.tar.xz which is 409 MB ?

Are they same? 

Or any other better option? 

I appreciate your valuable time in giving 
me a best option. Thanks.
