On Mavericks I execute a straight build with no extra flags:

	./Build --enable-xindy CLISP=/Users/koch/clisp/clisp-build/clisp

This is using XCode 5.1, the latest release version of XCode.
As for versions,

	clang --version

gives

	Richards-MacBook-Pro:usr koch$ clang --version
Apple LLVM version 5.1 (clang-503.0.38) (based on LLVM 3.4svn)
Target: x86_64-apple-darwin13.1.0
Thread model: posix

I just ran luatex on a terminal without error, and got

Richards-MacBook-Pro:x86_64-apple-darwin13.1.0 koch$ ./luatex
This is LuaTeX, Version beta-0.79.1 (TeX Live 2014/dev) (rev 4971)
 restricted \write18 enabled.
**

and I just ran xdvi from this compile. Xdvi is certainly working, cooperating with
Ghostscript, etc., and showing a 200 page math document.
I haven't built formats for further luatex tests at the moment.
