Hi Norbert,
did you sent your mail in HTML deliberately?  I doubt. ;)

According to a TUGboat article written by Luigi luajit works only on
Intel/AMD CPUs because it translates Lua code directly to machine
instructions.  If someone can confirm this, maybe --disable-luajittex
could be set automatically depending on the output of config.guess.

If this is not feasable it could be mentioned in one of the
Build/source/README* files at least.
