     *.sh   = svn:eol-style=LF

Ken, Akira, anyone else, would such a thing cause trouble somehow under
Cygwin or other Windows environments?  

    I would assume that "svn:eol-style=native" is subversion's default
    for non-binary files.

That would be nice, but it isn't.  I added all those entries because
they were needed.  svn doesn't set eol-style to anything by default.
If you google for
  default svn:eol-style
you will get a bunch of people having the obvious resulting problem of
the "wrong" line endings in their checkouts.
