On 64-bit Mac you have to use
    --disable-xetex --disable-xdv2pdf --disable-xdvipdfmx
to be able to compile TeX Live at all (or disable some other libraries
for AAT support in XeTeX, like MacPorts does).

If you want to compile XeTeX, you need to cross-compile for i386.
