Hello Peter,

The following did indeed the trick:

CONFIG_SHELL=/bin/bash CC=x86_64-pc-solaris2.11-gcc-4.4.4
CXX=x86_64-pc-solaris2.11-g++-4.4.4 ./Build --host=x86_64-pc-solaris2.11
--build=x86_64-pc-solaris2.11 --enable-xindy  CLISP=$clisp_builddir/clisp

Now compilation finishes successfully:

make world done.

real    35m22,53s
user    17m32,35s
sys    1m30,89s
+ echo 0
+ 1> exitstatus.txt

./Build: 333 executables in /opt/sources/BACKUP/TeX/source/inst/bin.
