I think, you should report this problem to the ffcall maintainer. Or,
you could try to use the current version from CVS, because ffcall 1.10
which you are using is seriously outdated, as mentioned on this page:

http://www.gnu.org/software/libffcall/

You can get the current sources from the CVS repository linked from the
bottom of the above page. Please give it a try.
