I am trying to write polytonic Greek but it does not work. I am not
sure it is a texworks problem<br>
because in such issues many parts of the OS participate. For
example, input method.<br>

The Linux keyboard "Greek (polytonic)" uses a maximum of 3 Dead keys
for this.<br>
All the dead keys are ; : ' " [ ]<br>
<br>
On texworks if you use one dead key it works. For example alpha with
grave accent<br>
(varia) is produced with the key presses 'α which produces ὰ.<br>
<br>
Now if you attempt to use a breathing mark AND the grave accent this
requires two dead keys:<br>
We have to press say, :'α. This must produce ἂ (and works on a
terminal) but on texworks<br>
just gives a plain α without any mark.<br>
<br>
If one needs an ypogegrammeni, ie if we want to type ᾂ (there is a
mark below the letter)<br>
we need 3 dead keys. :']α <br>
<br>
But TexWorks produces only ᾳ without the above marks.<br>
<br>
Maybe I just need to somehow set the proper input method. But I do
not know what is needed<br>
for this.<br>
