Today I updated to the 21 March 2021 version through the
MiKTeX console. Previously, when I ran the Insert Citation
command (Ctrl+Shift+C), the citation list for my referenced
bibfile would appear and typing would automatically filter
down based on what I typed. Since updating, the filter box has
no effect on the list of available sources, which is very long
for my project.

Thanks for reporting this bug. I can confirm this happens in 0.6.6,
but should now be fixed in the latest development version.
