<p><font face="Comic Sans MS">The only thing I can see, comparing
with my installation (done from the original, not TeXLive, but
this should not make differences) is that I have for English in
the dictionnaries folder:</font></p>
<p><font face="Comic Sans MS">en_GB.aff<br>
en_GB.dic<br>
en_US.aff<br>
en_US.dic</font></p>
<p><font face="Comic Sans MS">The different GB and US are perhaps ot
relevant, but most probably you should also have the .aff files.</font></p>
<p><font face="Comic Sans MS">Another point is to see how the
different parts of TeXworks are configured in
Edit/Preferences/Typesetting, as there could be differences with
the 2018 version.</font></p>

reply. But I really need much more guides about my puzzle.
Maybe I have some misunderstanding of your help. This time I
will explain with more figures in enclosure. As you can see
from Fig 1, I have put the dictionaries in the right path
(at least I think it is). But I still can’t find its option
in TeXworks (Fig 2). Maybe you have noticed that there is a
Chinese character”</span>用户<span lang="EN-US">” in the path.
However, I really don’t agree the idea that this is the key.
Since I can have access to the templates also in that path
(Fig 3). Besides, In windows, it seems that it has been
replaced by “Users” (at least this is true when I use cmd).
Fig 4 shows the dictionaries I have downloaded.</span></p>

dictionnary in the "ressources" folder of TeXworks (see the
points 2.1 and 4.3 of the manual).</font></p>

problem with my texworks when upload a dictionary
(download from openoffice.org) for checking the
documentary. I have searched some information and I know
that texworks support a external dictionary (see the
figure). However I cannot find the dictionary in
texworks (I have reboot it). So I fail to use it for
checking the spelling. I would like your help whether
there is something wrong with my operation or texworks
itself.</span></p>
