[texworks] using macro

I am not aware of such a tacit agreement, but that is not intended to suggest that such an agreement did not (or does not) exist.  But in order to resolve the problem without requiring you to amend your own code, it will be necessary to establish in which package there is a conflicting definition.  Were you able to identify the offending package ?
