[texworks] ERROR ISSUE WHILE WRITING A REPORT

Sir,
     I am just learning to write a report in Texwork. I am not understanding why the chapter is not getting inserted. I think the codes are correct. Please check the code ones.

\author{preeti}
\date{16 march 2015 \\first created on 14 may 2000}
