Thanks for looking into it. No, you don't have to build from source.
There is a link called "Files" in the line under the TeXworks logo. That
takes you to a long list of downloads, unfortunately ordered
chronologically. So you'd want to scroll to the very bottom to find the
newest builds of TeXworks.
