[texworks] can't increase number of pages after page 6 in template "article" format.

It is not likely the problem is with the template or with TeX/LaTeX.  
The most likely is an error in your code, or use of some command that 
conflicts with a package called in the preamble of the template.

What error messages are showing in your .log file?  Especially the first 
error is important.
