[texworks] How to change background colour of texworks software from dark to white?

Before getting into customizing TexWorks--  are you using a dark theme
for other text-based applications?  What happens in a terminal window?
What happens in a different text editor?

If all of the above are dark and hard to read (which is a common fault
with dark window themes) you need to customize the window theme in Manjaro.

If other text applications look fine, Texworks can be  customized with a
.css file.  I can outline the procedure I used if you find you need to
go that route.
