In fact, it already is :

  * Control Panel / Ease of Access Centre / Make the Computer Easier to
    Use / Make Things on the Screen Easier to See / Set the Thickness of
    the Blinking Cursor -> 20 (or some smaller number);
  * Close TeXworks;
  * Re-open TeXworks;
  * All as desired.
