Dear TeXworks users,

a new bugfix release (0.6.2) is around the corner, which will hopefully
make it into TeXLive 2017. To get ready for that, I ask you to test the
latest version of TeXworks. It is available at the following locations:
Windows:
https://bintray.com/texworks/Windows-latest/TeXworks-for-Windows%3Alatest
Mac OS X: https://bintray.com/texworks/OSX-latest/TeXworks-for-Mac%3Alatest
Ubuntu: https://launchpad.net/~texworks/+archive/ubuntu/ppa
Source code: https://github.com/TeXworks/texworks

The Windows and Mac builds come with the latest versions of libraries
(Qt, poppler, etc.). On the TeXworks side of things, the most noteworthy
changes to check are:
* fixes for several bugs and crashes (mostly concerning the PDF previewer)
* a new implementation of the syntax highlighter which should have the
same end results as before, but behave much better for large files (and
possibly even fixes the "vanishing lines" bug?)
* a screen calibration ruler was implemented in the preferences to
simplify determining the correct dpi value
* handling of PDF links was improved (external URLs can now be opened,
named destinations should work better now)
* the mouse wheel accuracy should now be taken into account when zooming
in the PDF
* arbitrarily high zooming is now possible in the previewer

Note that the latest version should be quite stable (obviously), but of
course there are no guarantees (that's what this testing call is for).
So if you are in the middle of a very important project, it might be
advisable to stick to whichever version has already proven to work for
you in the past.

All the best,
Stefan
