[texworks] Problem opening TeXworks with .tex file

This sounds very similar to an issue Alain reported for pdf files
(http://tug.org/pipermail/texworks/2014q2/006027.html). IIRC, there were
no relevant code changes in the revision range you specified, but I
think I updated my build system (updated library versions, etc.), so
probably that introduced the problem somehow.

Anyway, I tried to fix this in r1365 (which is compiling just now) -
please test.
