[texworks] text in pdf and not in source

If you ask to see the line numbers (Format/Line numbers) do 
you see all the line numbers at the place where the text 
disappeared?

Sometimes there is a "closing" of some lines.
I did have that sometimes.

I think it is due to invisible characters, when one imports 
text from an external source.

If the text, which disappears, is not too long, either if 
you find it again in TeXworks or in an external editor, move 
more or less slowly one character at a time. If there is an 
invisible character, the cursor will not move. If it is 
delete that character.

At least I think it is what is happening. But I am not sure!
