[texworks] Message from TeXworks user

I have a problem with my bibliography.

If I include my bibl file in the same folder as my latex text, in the 
form, e.g. \bibliography{bibli}, everything works fine.

But if I include my bilbl file through the reference to a path, e.g. in 
the form

\bibliography{C:/Documents and Settings/m210001/My Documents/Klaus 
Documents/Latex/bibl-files/bibli-physics/bibli}

it doesn't work.

It also doesn't work if I replace the forwards slashes by backwords 
slashes.

What am I doing wrong?
