  I agree with you that "front-end program" is a perfectly acceptable
description of TeXworks for beginners (better even than "editor", in my
opinion).  However, Paul was pointing out that the page was obviously
not written with end users in mind.  Now it could certainly be
rewritten; but someone has to do it...
