texworks.org has been around for some time as a redirect to
tug.org/texworks/. I think the point here is that a lot of editors have
a <editor>.(com|org|net) address to make them easy to find. Domain
registration is not too expensive, so for a single domain to make
TeXworks easy-to-find this makes sense.
