yep, that's definitely true. It's something which bit me already quite a 
few times. Just to get a KDE application installed can take half a day or 
more depending on your machine.

Looks like homebrew could be a good alternative in this case.

P.S.: In any case I think it's simply great that TW also builds on Mac, 
because that allows me to use at home the same environment like on my 
Windows computers at work.
