[texworks] message from TeXworks user(MiKTeX)

Hello

I just downloaded MikTex and can typeset existing documents.  However if 
I try to change the existing file and typset the following dialog box 
results:

Cannot write file "C/Documents and Settings/..../jinst-TCMT.tex:
unknown error.

Was the download incomplete?
