Yeah, that's more or less right (though you may have gotten the sequence
wrong, I can't tell for sure).
If Tw can determine that the printer understands ps, it uses poppler to
convert the pdf to ps and sends that to the printer.
If it can't determine that the printer understands ps, no ps is sent.
Instead, images are rendered and sent (by the printing mechanisms Qt
provides). For reasons of speed, these are clamped to a maximum of
300dpi. Which still gives the user a long wait, and the result may be bad.
