hmm, I do not think this is a question relevant to this list.

But most windows version has a feature where one can simply right click 
the file and ask for 'Extract here'

Though on Win7 this feature seems a big slow if it is a large ZIP, so 
there I usually install 7-ZIP (http://7-zip.org/) it integrates nicely 
into win7 and it is free. Plus it not only supports zipping and 
unzipping ZIP files but also other types of compression
