As a teaser, see attached photograph (sorry for the quality, due to absence of auto-focus on an iPhone).

It's a nice item (I don't know the English word for it), hand-made in glass and cardboard by Don and Jill Knuth and given to the participants of TUG 2010 during the banquet.
