[texworks] a question

Well, MikTex is not an editor but the tex/latex distribution, so your
question depend on which editor you use.

I assume you mean WinEdt, then at your toolbar, you can see the SUM button
saying 'Tex Symbol GUI'. Click that and you will see the symbols toolbar.
