Most likely you are using pdflatex what makes sense when using TeXworks - but eps is not directly supported. 

But there are solutions, see

That is a mac-oriented page, but it doesn't matter. Maybe you should read the docu of
http://ctan.org/pkg/epstopdf-pkg
