[texworks] Preferences on Mac OS X 10.6.2

Hi,

I wanted to open preferences on my MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.6.2, but got just the spinning ball?
I can't find any existing (may be damaged) preferences files, it just doesn't work ...

Any suggestions or other people with the same problem?
