It works: Preferences/Typesetting empty and the path in 
texworks-setup.ini (as a first rapid test, but I think it is what was 
expected!)

PS Now I'll try to understand the patch for Lua.
If I understand well, this would make the "actions.ini" unnecessary - 
this never worked for me, Stefan?
