Ctrl+W works in the Windows-versions of OOo, Acroread, and MS Word, too.
> Quit TeXworks: Ctrl+Q – Ctrl+Q Alt+F4
Ctrl+Q works just as well in OOo and Acroread on Windows.

> Balance delimiters Ctrl+B – NA Ctrl+A
In most Windows apps including MS Word and OOo Ctrl+A is "select all"
