I find it rather strange that it is starting by creating the pdflatex format, that should have been done at the end of the installation.<br>

<div>I choosed to install TeX Live 2023 on Linux Mint 21.1 x86_64 using the quick install guide (<a href="https://www.tug.org/texlive/quickinstall.html">https://www.tug.org/texlive/quickinstall.html</a>)</div>

<div>I installed it on a different partition (not root)</div>

<div>I tested tlmgr installation : </div>

<div><b><font face="monospace">$ tlmgr --version</font></b><br>

<div>The output takes long to display :</div>

<div>A simple <font face="monospace"><b>pdflatex -shell-escape helloWorld.tex</b></font> takes hours to compile with a flood of outputs (attached file) and generates a corrupted pdf </div>
