<p>It's a local thing. Your system doesn't provide 'gpg[2]' for verification.</p>

<p>If you want to get rid of the warning (that you may as well ignore), install GnuPG. I did just that right now on this Mac Mini running BasicTeX 2019. The package used to get the "(verified)" message comes from here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/gpgosx/files/GnuPG-2.2.19.dmg/download</p>
